SKI PROGRAM

For many years, the PTF has been raising money to pay for downhill ski lessons, equipment rentals, and busing to Burke Mountain in East Burke, VT as part of the school's P.E. curriculum. All K-6 students are transported to the mountain and have the opportunity to take four ski lessons per year (weather permitting) with some extra time allotted for practice. Students are placed into groups according to skill level and are taught how to downhill ski. Many parents and family members volunteer as chaperones for the students, making the program a safe and fun experience for all. Funding for this program is raised almost entirely through the PTF's annual Mud & Muck Auction.

OTHER WELLNESS PROGRAMS

Peacham School students also get the opportunity to receive swim, gymnastics, and indoor rock climbing lessons at Evergreen Sports Center in Lisbon, NH paid for by the PTF.  During their lessons, students are taught safety, techniques, and develop skills.  Extra time is allotted for students to practice and play after their lessons. Several parents and staff members join the students to supervise and help, ensuring a safe experience for all. Funding for this program is raised almost entirely through the PTF's annual Mud & Muck Auction.
